Munley Law settled a head-on car accident for $1 million for their client, who was critically injured when they were hit head-on by an oncoming driver who was attempting to pass a vehicle in a “no passing” zone.
The plaintiff was a passenger in the southbound lane. Her husband was driving the vehicle, and her grandson was a passenger. The defendant, traveling in the northbound lane, attempted to pass the vehicle in front of their vehicle, even though he was in a double yellow-line zone, indicating that passing was not allowed. The other driver entered the plaintiff’s travel lane, striking the vehicle head-on.
The Effects of the Car Accident On Our Client
All parties sustained significant injuries. The critical injuries sustained by the plaintiff involved multiple fractures, including an open fracture of the right ankle as well as a fracture of the hip and pelvis. The extensive care required encompassed multiple surgeries and ultimately resulted in a total hip replacement and a total knee replacement.
The plaintiff endured multiple surgeries, including total replacements of the hip and knee. The plaintiff lived on a farm and her daily life was drastically altered as a result of the reckless behavior of the defendant.
