How It Works
1. Get in Touch
Call us or submit the referral form on this page. You don’t need a completed intake packet or a signed client — just tell us what you know about the case. We’ll let you know what additional information, if any, helps us evaluate it. If you want to talk through a case before formally submitting anything, that’s fine too. We’re happy to have that conversation.
2. Case Evaluation
Most cases receive a response within 48 hours. We’ll tell you honestly whether it’s a fit and why. Medical malpractice cases take longer — those require a thorough factual and medical review before we can give you a meaningful answer. We won’t rush that process to get back to you faster. You deserve an informed assessment, not a quick one.
3. Referral or Co-Counsel Agreement
If we move forward, we’ll document the arrangement clearly before anything else happens. We accept both straight referral fee cases and co-counsel arrangements depending on your goals and your client’s situation. Whatever structure makes sense for your firm, we’ll put it in writing and honor it. All referral fees are paid in compliance with the applicable Rules of Professional Conduct.
4. Regular Updates
Once the case is underway, you won’t be left wondering what’s happening. We keep referring attorneys informed on major case developments so you can stay current with your client. If you have questions at any point, you can reach us directly. You referred this case because you trust us — we intend to earn that.

“When an attorney refers a case to us, they’re trusting us with their client and their reputation. We take both seriously. Our commitment to the referring attorney is the same as our commitment to the client: we will fight for the best outcome and we will keep you informed every step of the way.”

What You Get When You Refer to Munley Law
A Dedicated Point of Contact
You’ll have a direct line to our referral coordinator throughout the case, not a rotating associate, not someone who doesn’t know the file.
Earn Revenue on Cases Outside Your Practice Area
Not every case is the right fit for your firm. Referring to Munley Law lets you serve your client well without taking on matters outside your wheelhouse, and earn a referral fee in the process.
Your Client Relationship Protected
We work as partners. Our goal is to serve your client well, not to displace you. Referring attorneys remain part of the picture, and we won’t leave you guessing about what’s happening with the case.
What Referring Attorneys Say
Frequently Asked Questions
What Cases Do You Accept for Referrals?
We accept referrals across our full practice area: truck accidents, car accidents, medical malpractice, workers’ compensation, wrongful death, product liability, catastrophic injury, premises liability, and nursing home abuse. Truck accident cases are a particular strength. Munley Law is the only firm in Pennsylvania with three attorneys board-certified in Truck Accident Law by the National Board of Trial Advocacy.
Can I Stay Involved as Co-Counsel?
Yes. We accept both co-counsel arrangements and straight referrals. If you want to remain involved in the case, we’ll document a co-counsel agreement that reflects that.
How Quickly Does Your Legal Team Review a Case?
Most cases will be reviewed by our attorneys and our intake department within 48 hours. Medical malpractice cases may take longer since we preform a thorough factual and medical review before we can give you a meaningful assessment.
I’m From Out of State. Can I Still Refer to You?
Yes. We work with referring attorneys from across the country on cases that fall within our jurisdictions. If you have a Pennsylvania, New York, or Georgia case, contact us and we’ll let you know if it’s a fit.
How Often Will I Be Updated About the Case?
We provide updates when major developments occur and are always reachable if you have questions. You won’t have to chase us down for information.
