Car Crashes Into Salon In Mississippi

Salon Lefleur in Jackson was surprised when a woman drove her car into the building early Thursday morning, reports clarionledger.com. There were no injuries, but the salon and a restaurant next door were damaged. The woman was driving toward the salon when her foot slipped off the brake and the front of her car crashed into the wall separating the salon and restaurant.

California Woman Killed In Early Morning Crash On I-880

An early morning crash in San Leandro has taken the life of a 40-year-old- Oakley woman reports the Oakland Tribune. The woman lost control of her 2010 Subaru in the early morning hours and veered into the center median, then the shoulder of the freeway – hitting barrels and finally coming to a stop perpendicular to traffic. Her car was hit by two other cars. The woman was found outside of her car and pronounced dead at the scene.

State Trooper Struck In Massachusetts

According to SouthCoastTODAY.com, a state trooper was hit while responding to an accident on Route 24 in Fall River. The trooper was standing outside his car investigating a one-car accident when a second car struck him, throwing him onto the hood of that car, before hitting the first car. He was treated at a nearby hospital for minor injuries and released.

 

Car-Truck Accident Kills Two In Kansas

A 13-year-old girl and a 63-year-old man were killed in a head-on crash on Old Highway 56 and 56 Highway in Gardner, Kansas, reports Eyewitness News 12. This was the third death of a Gardner-Edgerton School district student from an auto accident this year. The girl’s mother and two other children in the car were also seriously injured.

Driver In Crash Which Killed Four Had Learner’s Permit

An investigation is ongoing to determine what caused a 16-year-boy with a learner’s permit to lose control of his car, strike a tree, and kill himself and three of his passengers, reports the Associated Press. Connecticut law forbid a teen with only a learner’s permit to drive without a parent, legal guardian, or qualified trainer as a passenger. The 2007 Nissan Altima is reported to be registered to one of the victim’s parents.
