Franklin County, PA – One Dead, Two Injured in Vehicle Accident
Franklin County, PA (February 14, 2025) – One person was killed, and two were injured following a car accident in Franklin County on February 13.
According to the Pennsylvania State Police, troopers responded to a single-vehicle crash on Molly Pitcher Highway at the intersection with Pin Oak Court in Greene Township at 1:10 a.m. Police found the car had flipped over in a field off the southbound shoulder of the highway.
Investigators believe wet road conditions caused the car to travel off the shoulder, strike an embankment, and go airborne before landing in the field.
Police say that three vehicle occupants were ejected from the vehicle at the time of the accident. Both passengers are believed to have sustained minor injuries and were transported to a local hospital.
The driver was also transported to the hospital, where he later died due to severe injuries sustained during the crash. […]

Allegheny County, PA – Tractor Trailer Overturns, Spilling Fuel on Route 28
Allegheny County, PA (February 13, 2025) – A tractor trailer overturned on Route 28 in Etna, sending one person to the hospital on February 12.
According to news reports, the truck was driving in the southbound lane of Route 28 when it hit a barrier and overturned, spilling diesel fuel onto the road and the creek below.
Emergency crews said the Department of Environmental Protection had placed a boom at the mouth of the creek so the fuel did not flow into the Allegheny River.
The driver of the vehicle was taken to the hospital after suffering injuries in the truck crash.

According to news reports, the man was driving a scooter that crashed around the 5800 block of the Old Philadelphia Pike in Salisbury Township around 3 p.m. Police say the man and his 15-month-old boy were taken to Lancaster General Hospital while the 6-year-old was airlifted to Penn State Health Milton S. Hershey Medical Center.
The man died at the hospital while the two boys remain in critical condition. The driver of the van was not injured.
