What is a Contusion?
A contusion, commonly called a bruise, occurs when a blow damages small blood vessels beneath the skin without breaking it, causing discoloration and swelling. While often minor, contusions can also signal more serious underlying injuries and may be documented as evidence in a personal injury claim.
