What is the Statute of Limitations?

The statute of limitations is a law that determines the period within which someone must file legal action, usually starting from the time the injury or damage occurs. In Pennsylvania, the statute of limitations for most personal injury cases is two years, unless the accident happened to a minor, who has two years after their 18th birthday to file a claim.
