What is Strict Liability?
Strict liability is a legal concept that extends responsibility for wrongdoing to another party regardless of their direct involvement in the incident. For example, if a car company manufactures a car with faulty brakes, and those brakes cause an accident, the car company could be held accountable for the accident due to strict liability. In such cases, the burden of proof shifts from the plaintiff to the defendant, requiring the defendant to prove they are not liable.
