What is a Trip-and-Fall?
A trip-and-fall is a type of premises liability accident that occurs when a person catches their foot on an uneven surface, object, or other hazard and falls, often due to a property owner’s failure to maintain safe conditions. To recover damages, an injured person generally must show the owner knew or should have known about the hazard and failed to address it.
