Over $48 Million Secured in Motor Vehicle Settlements
Daniel W. Munley is an award-winning personal injury lawyer and a champion of plaintiffs’ rights. For decades, Dan has tirelessly fought to win over $48 million for injured victims of tragic motor vehicle accidents and their families. While Dan handles a range of complex personal injury cases, he is widely regarded as a national leader in truck accident and rideshare accident litigation. Through hard work and unrelenting commitment to his clients, he has won numerous multimillion-dollar verdicts and settlements. Daniel helped secure a record-breaking $26 million settlement for a truck accident case in Northeastern Pennsylvania, the largest settlement on record in the area for an individual plaintiff. In 2024, Daniel was instrumental in securing a $20 million case for a injury victim who suffered life-altering injuries in a commercial vehicle accident.
Daniel is one of the few attorneys in the United States to be triple board certified by the National Board of Trial Advocacy. He is certified in Civil Trial Law, Civil Practice Advocacy, and Truck Accident Law. Daniel is also certified by the Association of Interstate Trucking Lawyers of America. He is a charter member and sits on the Executive Board of the American Association for Justice Trucking Litigation Group, where he served as Chair from 2011-2012. In 2020, he received the Robert W. Munley Champion of Justice Award (previously the Chairman’s Award) from the organization. Daniel is a member of the Board of Regents for the Academy of Truck Accident Attorneys.
In addition to his major tractor-trailer crash victories, Dan regularly presents cutting-edge truck accident trial techniques at conferences around the country. His presentations have helped hundreds of truck accident attorneys learn how to successfully handle and litigate trucking cases.
Daniel has been named to Best Lawyers in America since 2013 and in 2020, he was named “Lawyer of the Year” for Product Liability Litigation-Plaintiffs. He has been named to the Lawdragon 500 Leading Plaintiff Consumer Lawyers guide annually since 2020. A Pennsylvania Super Lawyer, Daniel is rated AV Preeminent by Martindale-Hubbell and has been named a Platinum-Level Client Champion. He was named one of the Top Ten Trucking Trial Lawyers in Pennsylvania by the National Trial Lawyers Association.
Dan also works determinedly to improve the greater Scranton community. He served as a board member for the Everhart Museum and coaches Little League baseball, basketball, and softball. Testimonials
Dan Munley fought like a tiger in the courtroom. He did not rest until the insurance company paid my personal injury claim once and for all. Thanks to Mr. Munley, my family has been taken care of and my medical bills have been paid for. Thanks again to you and your family.
Harry, a Personal Injury Client
I got into a serious accident with a tractor trailer two years ago, one that took me out of commission for months. The trucking company was fighting my case, saying I was the one who caused the accident. Luckily, I had Dan Munley at my side. He got me the money to help pay the medical bills and much more. He really pulled through for me and my family and I am eternally grateful to him.
Trucking Accident Client
Dan Munley was wonderful and was always within a phone call away. I always felt he was available to me at any time. It was such a wonderful feeling knowing that there was always someone in my corner taking care of me. He always came through. Always. I would recommend Dan Munley to anyone!
Marie, Personal Injury Client
When I got into my terrible auto accident eight months ago, I had nowhere to turn after the insurance company denied my claim. Not only did Dan Munley help me with my case, but he kept me informed every step of the way. Thank you so much for all your work!
