BUCKS COUNTY — Teen Dies in High-Speed Crash on Wistar Road in Fairless Hills

Bucks County, PA – An 18-year-old woman is dead, and two teens were injured after their car crashed into a tree in Fairless Hills, Pennsylvania, on Sunday, Bristol Township police said.
The tragic accident occurred on Wistar Road near Armstrong Middle School just before 4 p.m. on July 27, 2025, when a vehicle carrying three teenagers crashed into a tree at high speed.
Details of the Crash
According to Bristol Township Police, a 17-year-old boy was driving a white 2002 Mustang eastbound on Wistar Road at a high rate of speed with two passengers inside, including the 18-year-old woman in the backseat, when he lost control and struck a tree.
The impact of the collision was devastating. The 18-year-old was taken to St. Mary Medical Center in Langhorne, where she died from her injuries, according to police reports.
The two other teens in the vehicle sustained injuries but survived the crash. The 17-year-old driver, who is from Levittown, Bucks County, and another 17-year-old boy sitting in the front passenger seat were both placed in stable condition at St. Mary Medical Center.
Investigation Ongoing
The crash is under investigation. Anyone with information about the crash is asked to contact the Bristol Township Police Department.
This heartbreaking incident serves as another reminder of the devastating consequences that can result from high-speed driving, particularly among young drivers. Single-vehicle crashes involving teens often stem from a combination of factors including inexperience, speed, and poor decision-making.
The Dangers of Teen Driving
Teen drivers face unique risks on Pennsylvania roadways. According to safety experts, younger drivers are more likely to engage in risky behaviors such as speeding, which can lead to loss of vehicle control – especially when navigating curves or encountering unexpected road conditions.
The location of this crash – on Wistar Road near a middle school – highlights how these tragedies can occur in residential areas where families and children are present. Speed limits and traffic safety measures exist to protect all road users, but they can only be effective when drivers choose to follow them.
