NY Man Killed In Snowmobile and Car Accident

A 37-year-old Bergen man was killed Thursday when his snowmobile was hit by a car in Riga, Monroe County, reports The Batavian.  The accident happened about 10 p.m. on the Buffalo Road Bridge when a car crossed the center line and hit a group of three snowmobile riders head on. One man died, one rider was taken to the hospital and the third man was uninjured.

One Man Dead in 4 Car Crash In Virginia

A 27-year-old man is dead from injuries he received in a four-car accident in Bedford on Thursday night.  Police report the man was going south on Independence Boulevard when he crossed the center line and hit two cars, then his car was hit by a fourth vehicle. WDBJ7.com reports he was not wearing his seatbelt at the time of the accident.

Two Injured In New Jersey Accident

A 37-year-old female and a 31-year-old male were injured about 5:45 a.m. on Thursday in a one car accident in Medford Lakes.  CourierPostOnline.com reports the woman lost control of the car and struck a tree which caused it to overturn.  The driver was taken to the hospital for treatment of minor injuries and the male passenger was taken to Cooper University Hospital in Camden for treatment of internal injuries.

 

Nebraska Man Killed In One Car Accident

A 23-year-old North Platte man is dead following a one car incident at the corner of Front Street and Wagon Trail Road on Thursday.  His 2000 Buick Century struck a mailbox then flipped and rolled over two and a half times, according to nptelegraph.com.  The driver was not wearing his seat belt and both front airbags deployed.  According to the Lincoln County Sheriff Department, he died of massive head trauma.

Oregon Man Dies After Waiting For Ambulance In The Hospital’s Parking Lot

Reuters reports a man who was driving himself to the hospital crashed in the hospital’s parking lot and had to wait for an ambulance to take him to the emergency room.  The ambulance arrived minutes after being called to the scene by police officers, but the 61-year-old man had already been waiting for 20 minutes after the crash before he was found by a passerby.  CPR was performed for around 6 minutes before the ambulance arrived and took the man to the hospital’s emergency room.  The man died at 1:22 a.m. from heart disease, not trauma from the vehicle crash.
