Car Crashes Into Check Cashing Business In Los Angeles

The intersection of South La Brea Avenue and West Adams Boulevard was the scene Thursday morning of a one car accident when a Chevrolet Impala crashed into the window of PLS Check Cashing business, reports NBC LA.  A Nissan ran a red light and hit the Impala, forcing it into the front window of PLS.  No one inside the business was injured but the driver of the Impala had to be extracted from her car and was taken to the hospital for treatment.  The driver of the Nissan ran from the scene and when caught, told police he fled because he had a plane to catch and was running late.  Police said that excuse “didn’t fly.”

Wheeling Bridge Closed For Second Time After Accident

For the second time in less than a month, the historic Wheeling Suspension Bridge in West Virginia is closed due to an accident.  The accident happened around 2:30 a.m. Friday when a car collided with the side of the bridge and came to rest on its side.  The bridge will remain closed until state inspectors have a chance to inspect the damage.

Man Hospitalized Following One -Car Accident In Alabama

WKRG reports a man involved in a one-car accident around 5 p.m. on Highway 43 in Thomasville is expected to recover from his injuries at USA Medical Center.  It is believed he fell asleep, crossed the median and then smashed into an 18-wheeler.

5-Year-Old Girl Seriously Injured In One-Car Crash In Washington

Following a one-car accident in Chimacum, a 5-year-old girl and a 33-year-old man have been airlifted to Harborview Medical Center with serious injuries, according to ptleader.com.  The two were found on the side of the road and the older model Ford Taurus was nearly hidden in the brush when East Jefferson Fire Rescue arrived.  At first look, it appears the car was traveling at a high rate of speed, veered out of his lane, crossed the oncoming lane and continued speeding with the two left wheels in the grass and the right side wheels on the road’s shoulder.  After about 100 yards, the car hit the side of a driveway, went airborne, flying over about 50 feet of brush before hitting a tree and coming to a stop.  The girl, confined in a car seat in the center of the car’s rear seat suffered critical head injuries, arm injuries, and possible internal injuries.  The driver suffered a closed head injury.

Colorado Woman Dies In One-Car Accident

A 46-year-old woman died at the scene on Wednesday when she crashed her 2003 Saturn L200 Sedan in a one-car accident in Lincoln Park, reports the Canon City Daily Record.  Her car traveled through two private yards before coming to a stop after hitting a fence and a tree.  A medical emergency is being investigated as a possible cause of the crash.  She was not wearing a seatbelt.
