How to get tested for COVID-19 in Philadelphia

The landscape of how and where to get tested is evolving, as more drive through test sites are opening up.  But right now, here are your testing options:

 

Abington Hospital, Abington Township

Testing only with a referral from an Abington-Jefferson Health physician.

Penn Medicine, West Philadelphia and Radnor locations

Testing available to anyone experiencing coronavirus-like symptoms.  

If you’re a Penn Medicine patient, you should contact your health-care provider for a referral.

If you are not a Penn Medicine patient, you should call their toll-free hotline at 833-983-1350.

Temple University, Ambler campus in Upper Dublin Township

Tests by appointment only to people who meet one or more of the following criteria:

Symptoms of sudden illness such as fever, cough, shortness of breath or of smell/taste, gastrointestinal symptoms with or without fever.

First responders (law enforcement, fire, EMS and dispatcher) with concern for exposure to a patient with suspected COVID-19 or symptoms of any sudden illness with or without fever. 

Healthcare workers providing direct patient care and concern for exposure to a patient with suspected COVID-19 or symptoms of any sudden illness with or without fever.

Anyone with known or suspect direct contact to someone with COVID-19.

Anyone who has been recommended by their doctor to get tested.

Those without internet access can register over the phone by calling 610-631-3000.

 

Citizens Bank Park, Philadelphia

Healthcare workers and people 50 or over with symptoms.

1pm – 6pm, daily.

No appointment necessary, but bring drivers license and health card.

Testing will only be conducted to those in four-wheeled, closed-top, non-commercial, non-recreational vehicles.

 

Rite Aid, West Oak Lane

Emergency responders and healthcare workers, regardless of symptoms.

9am-5pm, daily.

 

Einstein Healthcare Network, Mayfair and Olney

Symptomatic patients should call Einstein Community Health Associates or Einstein Physicians Health Incorporated primary care doctor.

Patients will be evaluated over the phone and instructed on how to proceed.
