CHESTER COUNTY – Several Injured After SUV Plows Into Store

CHESTER COUNTY, PA (July 31, 2025) — Several people were injured when an SUV crashed through a storefront in Downingtown on July 30.
According to news reports, the crash happened around 1 p.m. at the North Park Plaza on Wallace Avenue. An adult man driving a blue Mercedes SUV crashed into the storefront of one business, continued through the internal wall, and then went into a second business.
Three women in the building at the time of the accident suffered minor injuries. Two were taken to the hospital for further evaluation.
Bystanders helped the driver out of the SUV. He declined medical treatment after the accident.
Both businesses damaged in the crashed are closed until repairs can be made. Police are investigating the cause of the accident.
