Teenager Dies in I-90 Accident in MA

I-90 in West Springfield, MA was closed for over four hours last week while police investigated a one-car crash that resulted in the death of a 15-year-old boy.  An SUV driven by a 17-year-old was traveling eastbound in the far right lane of the interstate when the driver moved into the left lane to pass a vehicle.  The driver then attempted to move back into the right lane when she realized another vehicle was in the left lane.  She lost control of the SUV and went off the road onto the shoulder where the vehicle flipped over several times landing on its roof.  The boy, who was not wearing a seatbelt, was pronounced dead at the scene.  The other passengers and driver were treated for minor injuries.

NJ Man Left Critical After Collision

An automobile accident in Bridgewater, NJ on Friday left a man in critical condition after a car swerved into his path and hit his vehicle head-on.  The man was heading eastbound on Route 22, in a Chevy Malibu when an 18-year-old driver in a Honda CRV, traveling westbound, lost control of her car and swerved into the eastbound lanes striking the other vehicle.  The 18-year-old was not injured in the accident. Police are investigating the cause.

Seattle Biker Dies in Hit-and-Run Accident

Police are continuing to search for the driver of a beige or brown SUV that was involved in a hit-and-run accident that killed a Seattle bicyclist last week.  The biker was riding on Dexter Avenue N. at Thomas Street last Thursday on his return home from work. The SUV turned left at Thomas Street, striking the cyclist, and then quickly left the scene of the accident.

MN Police Chase Critically Injures Suspect

A police chase in Monticello, MN resulted in the fleeing motorist being airlifted to a nearby hospital after he crashed on I-94 and was ejected from his vehicle.  Around 7:15am last Tuesday morning the officers attempted to stop an erratic driver when the vehicle fled, leading the police on a chase.  The driver lost control and went into the median where the vehicle rolled.  The east and westbound lanes of the interstate were closed for close to five hours while the police investigated the accident.
