Lackawanna County, PA – Pedestrian Struck By Car Near I-81 South Ramp

LACKAWANNA COUNTY, PA (February 26, 2025) – A man was struck by a car near an I-81 South exit ramp in Scranton on February 26.

According to news reports, emergency crews responded to the intersection of the I-81 South ramp and Main Avenue around 7 a.m after a 63-year-old man was hit by a car while crossing the street.

The man was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries. He later died at the hospital.

The crash is under investigation.

PHILADELPHIA, PA (February 26, 2025) – A man was struck and killed in South Philadelphia on February 24.

According to news reports, the accident occurred at 10th Street and Packer Avenue just before 7:30 p.m. The victim was first involved in a minor crash. When he got out of his car to speak with the other driver, he fell while crossing the street. It was then another vehicle hit him.

He was later pronounced dead at the hospital.

HAMBURG, PA (February 24, 2025) – A semi- driver was injured after a large chunk of ice shattered his windshield while driving on February 21.

According to news reports, the truck driver was driving on Interstate 78 eastbound when a large chunk of ice flew off a passing in the westbound lanes.

Dash cam video shows the moment the ice crashed into his windshield, causing glass and ice to hit him in the chest and face. He was able to keep control of his truck despite his windshield being shattered.

Montgomery County, PA – Woman Dead After Driving in Opposing Traffic

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, PA (February 23, 2026) – A woman died after driving suddenly into opposing on February 22.

According to news reports, the accident occurred just after noon. The woman was stopped at a stop sign at the intersection of Woodlyn Avenue and Valley Forge Road in Worcester Township, PA. Police say that her vehicle then moved abruptly into the northbound lane of Valley Forge Road, where it was struck by an oncoming pickup .

The woman was taken to Einstein Hospital where she was pronounced dead. The other driver did not report any injuries.

Pennsylvania State Police are investigating the cause of the accident.
