Bus Accidents with Cars in Pennsylvania
School bus accident claims involve a number of legal challenges. There are multiple liable parties, potentially including school districts, bus companies, drivers, maintenance providers, and other motorists. There are also governmental immunity considerations, as special rules apply when suing school districts or municipalities.
It is particularly important to have an experienced attorney, as shortened notice requirement mean claims against public entities often have accelerated filing deadlines.
There is also a complex situation with insurance coverage, as drivers are forced to navigate overlapping policies from schools, contractors, and private vehicles.
