According to Black’s Law Dictionary, a request is defined as “a formal demand, made in writing, for something specific.” As such, requests are integral to legal proceedings, serving various purposes such as obtaining documents, admissions, examinations, or rulings from the court. 

Requests play a crucial role in litigation and legal proceedings by facilitating the exchange of information, clarifying issues in dispute, and advancing case management. Child in Critical Condition After Chain-Reaction Crash in Philadelphia

A 5-year-old was severely injured in a chain-reaction auto accident in the Bridesburg neighborhood of Philadelphia on January 13.

According to news reports, the accident occurred shortly before 9:20 p.m. at Aramingo Avenue and Wakeling Street. Police say three of the four vehicles involved were stopped at the red light when the striking vehicle going southbound on Aramingo Avenue rear-ended one or more vehicles, creating a chain reaction.

The striking vehicle was believed to be occupied by a mother and a 5-year-old child. Investigators state the child suffered severe brain injuries.

The child was rushed to St. Christopher’s Hospital, where he is listed in critical condition. He was the only one injured in the accident.

The police are investigating the accident.

Reading Man Killed in Two-Vehicle Crash in Berks County

A Reading man died following a two-vehicle crash in Berks County on January 10.

According to the Pennsylvania State Police, the crash occurred around 5:30 a.m. on U.S. Route 222 in Maxatawny Township just west of Kutztown. News reports state the man was heading northbound on U.S. 222 when he entered the southbound lane to pass a vehicle. A tractor trailer was heading southbound and the vehicles collided.

Troopers say the man’s car was split in half and he was ejected from the car. He was pronounced dead at the scene. The truck driver was not injured.

One Seriously Injured Following a Rollover Crash in Centre County, PA

One person was flown to the hospital after a rollover car accident in Centre County, Pennsylvania, on January 9.

According to news reports, emergency officials were called to the scene of a car accident around the 3400 block of Penns Valley Pike between the Gregg Township and Potter Township line. Emergency personnel said the SUV had rolled over several times before crashing into a nearby field near Weaver Road and Penns Valley Road. Witnesses say the woman was violently ejected from the vehicle after it had launched several feet into the area.

The woman was taken to the hospital via a helicopter, but her condition is unknown at this time.

Police are investigating the cause of the accident.

Multi-Vehicle Crash Involving SEPTA Bus in King of Prussia, PA

Two passenger vehicles and a SEPTA bus were involved in a serious crash on January 8 in King of Prussia. According to news reports, the accident happened around 2 p.m. at South Henderson Road and Monroe Road intersection when a vehicle collided with the Route 99 SEPTA bus.
