12-Year-Old Dies in Car Crash in Pike County, PA
A 12-year-old has died following a car crash that also sent two others to the hospital in Pike County on December 15. According to Pennsylvania State Police, troopers were called to a one-vehicle crash on Silver Lake Road in Porter Township around 8 p.m. News reports state the vehicle had exited the roadway and struck a tree. The 12-year-old girl, who was sitting in the backseat of the vehicle, was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver and a front seat passenger also suffered injuries and were taken to Lehigh Valley-Pocono.
It is unknown what caused the accident. Police are currently investigating the crash.

Multi-Vehicle Crash in Lancaster County Sends Two to Hospital
Police are currently investigating a multi-vehicle car accident that sent two people two people to the hospital on December 13 in Lancaster County.
According to news reports, the accident occurred in Manheim Township where one of the vehicles overturned in the middle of the highway. Police officials say the southbound lanes of Route 222 were closed for several hours as the crash were investigated.
Authorities say two people sustained serious injuries in the accident.

Man Dies in Tractor Trailer Accident on I-81 in Franklin County
A 21-year-old man lost his life in a deadly tractor trailer accident on Interstate 81 in Franklin County on December 15. According to Pennsylvania State Police, emergency crews responded to the collision in the northbound lanes I-81 between Exit 5 and Exit 10 in Antrim Township at approximately 3:30 am.
Police say the man was driving a sedan when he crashed into the back of a tractor-trailer that had merged in front of him unexpectedly because another vehicle stopped on the shoulder. The man was thrown from his car and pronounced dead at the scene.
Police are investigating the accident.

Worker Killed on the Job in Bucks County, PA
A 26-year-old worker lost his life in an industrial accident at the Kinder Morgan facility in Morrisville on the morning of December 10, according to Falls Township Police.
According to news reports, the employee of Kinder Morgan suffered fatal injuries at approximately 1:15 a.m. while working to excavate sugar from a docked ship at the South Port Road facility. Police reports indicate a digging bucket struck the worker during the operation.
Emergency personnel responded immediately to the scene. The Bucks County Coroner pronounced the worker dead shortly after arrival.
The Falls Township Police Department has launched an investigation into the incident. Local emergency responders, including fire departments, assisted with operations at the scene while authorities established traffic control measures in the surrounding area.

Fatal Crash in Northeast Philadelphia Claims Passenger’s Life
A 26-year-old passenger died in the early morning hours of December 11 when a BMW crashed into a parked van in Philadelphia’s Mayfair neighborhood, police reported.
The incident occurred at 1:30 a.m. on the 6600 block of Frankford Avenue. According to news reports, the BMW’s driver lost control of the vehicle and struck a parked van, forcing it onto the sidewalk. The passenger was ejected from the BMW and pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver sustained injuries and is receiving medical treatment. Philadelphia police say excessive speed appears to be a factor in the crash.
