Multi-Vehicle Crash on I-83 in York County Sends One to the Hospital
Emergency crews were called to the scene of a multi-vehicle crash on Interstate 83 in York County on November 20. According to news reports, the accident happened around 11:30 a.m. in the northbound lanes at Exit 40 in Fairfax Township. The car wreck had blocked multiple lanes of traffic on I-83 northbound. It was reported by the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation that there was a significant amount of fuel and liquids on the road that had to be cleaned up.
News reports state that one person was taken to the hospital following the crash. According to PennDOT, the person’s injuries were not life-threatening.

Deadly I-81 Crash Involves Tractor-Trailers and Multiple Victims
In East Hanover Township, PA, a tragic accident on Interstate 81 resulted in one death and left three others injured.
The multiple-vehicle crash occurred at 11:24 a.m. on October 24, north of Exit 80 (Route 743/Grantville/Hershey) in Lebanon County. Authorities reported that four vehicles, including a tractor-trailer, a sedan, and a van, had stopped in the southbound lanes due to heavy traffic.
According to authorities, a tractor-trailer was driving at full speed into stand-still traffic. The first impact was made to a sedan, causing it to veer into a traffic sign. The tractor-trailer continued and collided full force with a van, which was pushed into another tractor-trailer.
The van’s driver was caught between the two tractor-trailers, leading to severe impact and trauma. The Lebanon County Coroner’s office declared the van’s driver dead at the scene. The passenger and driver of the sedan and the negligent speeding tractor-trailer driver were taken to the Hershey Medical Center for evaluation and care. […]

Motorcyclist Dies in Crash in Northeast Philadelphia
A 22-year-old motorcyclist died after colliding with a vehicle turning left in Northeast Philadelphia on October 26. According to news reports, the motorcyclist was speeding and weaving through traffic along Bustleton Avenue before running into the turning car. Police said four cars in total were involved in the accident as the car behind the turning vehicle was hit from behind.
The motorcyclist was taken to Jefferson Torresdale Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. No other injuries were reported.

Clarks Summit Man Dies in Car Accident in Wayne County, PA
A 69-year-old Clarks Summit man lost his life on Oct. 18 in a violent car crash on Owego Turnpike after swerving to avoid a vehicle making a left turn. News reports stated the driver died hours after the crash, which occurred shortly before 3 p.m. in Wayne County’s Cherry Ridge Township.
According to state police at Honesdale, Palmieri swerved his vehicle into the westbound lane to prevent rear-ending the turning car ahead of him, leading to a head-on collision with an oncoming Buick. The occupants of the Buick sustained minor injuries and were hospitalized.
The driver was transported to Wayne Memorial Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries hours after the crash.

Deadly Tractor-Trailer Accident in Schuylkill County
One person tragically died after driving into the back of a tractor-trailer in the early morning hours of October 19 in Kline Township, Schuylkill County. According to news reports, emergency personnel received a call around 12:30 a.m. for a car that hit a tractor-trailer that was parked along the side of Route 309.
