According to Black’s Law Dictionary, liability is defined as “the state of being legally responsible for something, such as a debt or obligation.” As such, it assumes that a person is responsible for the harm they cause another. There are several different types of liability including contractual liability, when one party breaks a contract, tort liability from civil wrongs, or strict liability where a party is held responsible for damages, regardless of fault. 

Liability is important in law because it ensures individuals are held responsible for their actions, and that injured parties receive compensation. PITTSBURGH, PA (February 27, 2025) – One person was taken to the hospital after their car was split in half in Pittsburgh on February 25.

According to news reports, emergency crews were called to the 7200 block of Penn Avenue in Pittsburgh’s Point Breeze neighborhood at 11:23 a.m.

Witnesses say the driver was speeding and appeared to lose control of the car before hitting a pole, splitting the car in half.

According to news reports, the plane was transporting a child patient, her mother, and four crew members. The plane was heading to Springfield, Missouri.

The plane left the Northeast Philadelphia Airport around 6 p.m. before crashing less than four miles away. It crashed into the ground and sparking a huge fireball.
