Wyalusing Twp., PA – Man Dies Following a Car Accident in Bradford County
Wyalusing Township, PA (January 27, 2025) – A man lost his life after a car crash in Bradford County on January 25.
According to the Pennsylvania State Police, the Clinton County man had been driving west on Route 6 in Wyalusing Township around 8 a.m. when he suddenly veered into the eastbound lane and hit a guide rail and rock embankment. He died during the helicopter flight to the hospital.
State police said after a preliminary review of the crash found the man had suffered a medical emergency at the time of the crash.

Tyrone Twp., PA – Students Injured in School Van Accident
Tyrone Township, PA (January 24, 2025) – Five children were sent to the hospital after their school van slid off the road and struck a pole on January 23.
According to the Pennsylvania State Police, the crash occurred on the 700 block of Tape Worm Road in Tyrone Township around 2:30 p.m. The school van had been traveling southbound on Tape Worm Road when it approached a sharp turn. Because of the wet and slippery conditions of the road, the van left the roadway, sliding into a telephone pole.
All five students on the bus were transported to local hospitals with suspected minor injuries. The driver of the van was not injured.
The van was towed from the scene after experiencing extensive damage.

Philadelphia, PA – Person Struck and Killed By SEPTA Train
Philadelphia, PA (January 23, 2025) – A person died after being struck by a SEPTA Broad Street Line train in Center City, Philadelphia, on January 23.
According to news reports, the accident happened around 5 a.m. in the 300 block of North Broad Street at the Race-Vine Station. Rescue crews responded to reports of a person under a train. The person was pronounced dead at the scene.
Express service was temporarily suspended in both directions as SEPTA police investigated the accident. It has since resumed.

One Dead, Another Injured Following a Car Crash in Lycoming County, PA
One person has died following a car crash in Lycoming County on January 22.
According to news reports, the 22-year-old was driving on State Route 87 in Plunketts Creek Township near Barbours around 1 a.m. when he lost control of his vehicle. He hit a tree and was killed.
A passenger inside the car was taken to UPMC Williamsport after the crash. She was later transported to Geisinger Danville.
The cause of the crash is unknown. Police are investigating.

Driver Dies After Car Lands In a Creek in Pittsburgh
Pennsylvania State Police are investigating a fatal car crash in Pittsburgh on January 17.
According to news reports, the car had exited the Squirrel Hill tunnel on Parkway East around 8:30 a.m. Right before crossing the Commercial Street Bridge, the driver lost control of the vehicle, went over a steep embankment and plunged into the creek.
Emergency crews had difficulty accessing the crash site because of heavy machinery that was doing work under the bridge. When they were able to reach the vehicle, they found the driver had died and was still in the vehicle.
The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
