CUMBERLAND COUNTY — One Dead After Tractor-Trailer & Construction Equipment Crash on Route 581
CUMBERLAND COUNTY, PA. (April 14, 2025) — A construction worker died after a tractor-trailer crashed into two construction vehicles on Pennsylvania Route 581 on Monday, April 14.
The crash happened around 4:39 a.m. at mile marker 5. All eastbound lanes near Exit 3 have been shut down.
A tractor-trailer driving crossed into the right lane, which had been closed for construction. The tractor-trailer proceeded to strike two construction vehicles, killing a construction worker.
Emergency responders were dispatched, transporting two construction workers to a hospital for injuries. One worker was pronounced dead upon arrival at the hospital.
The tractor-trailer driver was not injured.
Investigations continue.

WILLIAMSPORT, PA — Man Killed in Route 220 crash, Two Others Injured
LOCK HAVEN, PA (March 20, 2025) —— One person was killed and two others were injured in a two-vehicle crash on Route 220, on Wednesday, April 9.
State police and other emergency responders were dispatched at 6:30 p.m. All three victims were trapped in their vehicles.
A driver was traveling south in the northbound lane. He hit another car, killing its passenger.
He was pronounced dead at UPMC Lock Haven, after being taken by helicopter.
Both the drivers of the cars were hospitalized with injuries.
All roads have reopened. Pennsylvania State police continue to investigate.

CLINTON COUNTY, PA – One Dead After Wrong-Way Car Crash
CLINTON COUNTY, PA (April 10, 2025) —— One person is dead, and two are hospitalized after a wrong-way crash in Castanea Township on Wednesday, April 9.
Crews were dispatched to the mile marker 110.3 around 6:26 p.m.
A Chevy was going south in the northbound lanes of Route 220 in Castanea Township when he collided with a Mazfa SUV. The wrong-way Chevy driver, the Mazda driver and a Mazda passenger were both hospitalized with serious injuries. The passenger of the Mazda eventually succumbed to his injuries.
Police continue to investigate. All roads have reopened.

CENTRE COUNTY, PA — Tractor-trailer Crash Spills 150 Gallons of Diesel on Route 322
CENTRE COUNTY, PA (April 9, 2025) — A tractor-trailer crash on Route 322 in Centre County led to a fuel leak on Tuesday, April 8.
The Boalsburg Fire Company was called in to the Mount Nittany Expressway in Harris Township at 7:59 a.m.
First responders confirmed that the accident was between a car and a tractor-trailer. They found that the crash caused a fuel leak from the tractor-trailer totaling 150 gallons of diesel fuel.
HAZMAT was called to the scene and no injuries were reported. The detour placed on Route 322 and the area has since been lifted.
