Hamburg, PA – Truck Driver Injured After Ice Crashes Into Windshield

HAMBURG, PA (February 24, 2025) – A semi-truck driver was injured after a large chunk of ice shattered his windshield while driving on February 21.

According to news reports, the truck driver was driving on Interstate 78 eastbound when a large chunk of ice flew off a passing tractor trailer in the westbound lanes.

Dash cam video shows the moment the ice crashed into his windshield, causing glass and ice to hit him in the chest and face. He was able to keep control of his truck despite his windshield being shattered.

The driver suffered minor cuts to his hands and face.

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, PA (February 23, 2026) – A woman died after driving suddenly into opposing traffic on February 22.

According to news reports, the accident occurred just after noon. The woman was stopped at a stop sign at the intersection of Woodlyn Avenue and Valley Forge Road in Worcester Township, PA. Police say that her vehicle then moved abruptly into the northbound lane of Valley Forge Road, where it was struck by an oncoming pickup truck.

The Mercedes then struck a truck towing a trailer and then rolled onto its roof before bursting into flames.

The driver of the Mercedes was able to pull themselves from the vehicle then fled the scene on foot where they were later reportedly struck by other vehicles in the southbound lane before the police found them. The driver was taken to the Trauma Center at UPMC for treatment. […]
